It is almost laughable if it wasn’t so tragic. A piece of legislation which has been described as a “health care overhaul” was placed on our books without our permission by a collection of people who were sent to our nation’s capitol to do what we as a nation need. Instead, they do whatever they can to shove bills we do not need but what they think we require down our throats.

Seeing how many people were against this legislation, the best option in some common sense minds’ is to start over. In fact, that’s what many believe was what was going to happen when he announced a bipartisan summit for healthcare.  However, with putting his legislation on the internet before the pow-wow, many realized the event was no more than an attempt for defeating ObamaCare’s opponents.

So many times I have stated how much of a bad President Obama is and to tell you the truth, it is not his fault. He literally had months of legislative experience and has now been placed in the highest position in the world.  Despite this, we as Americans (and especially the mainstream media) give Obama chance after chance to prove himself a President. Even when ObamaCare was suggested, we believed that if we showed him consistently through phone calls and public announcements he would back down and, as Minority Leader John Boehner stated, start with a “blank sheet of paper”. Healthcare needs an overhaul, but not at the risk of so many entities which will be hit by ObamaCare.

Yet not only did he continue with this unconstitutional and dangerous legislation, but he even went as far as to use backdoor deals and dictatorial factors such as Executive Orders to get it through the Capitol Hill Doors.  Probably realizing in a way his error, Obama stated in his speech after the vote that the bill came from the bottom up and not the top down. Does he really think we are that naïve as to not know where this dangerous bill came from?  It’s called ObamaCare for a reason, sir.

The biggest aspect many cannot believe is that we as a nation told him we did not want this bill on our books. Members of the government will not personally be affected by this bill. If anything, many have already profited by it through avenues such as personal phone calls, jobs and rides on Air Force One.  What about the people who gave you the chance to be where you are?

Bottom line: ObamaCare is not what we need to assist our nation, let alone our healthcare system.  It is legislation that is as backwards as the deals that were done to get it where it is now.  How can you assist our healthcare system by raising taxes? How can you protect freedom when you create a piece of legislation which tells people what healthcare system to use? We do not need new taxes, new IRS agents and finally we do not need to be told what healthcare plan we should be on.

Obviously, there are people in the capitol who have forgotten what their jobs are.  They have become as flawed as the bill they just sent to our law books. In November, I see more of an overhaul than they ever thought this so-called “Healthcare Reform Bill” could have ever done.

The way that this administration is spending money, we are going to go from a superpower to a 3rd world country!

    • Grant says:

That isnt possible. Thats a bullshit fear based statement and completely inappropriate to even say. The US decides who is and is not a 3rd world country. For all the money we spend there are billions of dollars in loans that we are using as leverage against "3rd world" and even moden, western countries to make sure we stay afloat.. Western society, and specifically the US, created the 3rd world and will certainly not become a part of it unless the drastic notion of a revolution ever occurs.

And as for this post. More drivel. Gallop poles showed that there was a nearly 50/50 split heading into the the vote and some evidence shows that the measure will be more popular after being passed. So I dont really understand why people keep asserting that the American people were not behind this. Back it up if you got it. Also, explain how this is unconstitutional. I have yet to understand that. Nobody is forced to do anything. You arnt forced to take any packages you dont want. The only thing you will be forced to do is aquire health insurance within the next 4 years. Unless you cant afford it. And honestly, if you live above the poverty line, maybe you should invest a little money in something more important than a flat screen TV. This plan expands care to more people, complain about the governments wallet all you want but at the end of the day people will have help. Help that some people, who dont have to see the struggle on a daily basis, forget is necessary. Now.

Starting with a blank slate is a stalling tactic. Another stall tactic, to write another bill, that will take another year, 2 years, 3 years. Anything as long as it doesnt have to be thought about right now. If you want to start from scratch so bad, how about a single payer plan. I mean, England, Australia, Canada, these are all our allies and hardly commie pinkos, until it comes to their universal health care.

finally, calling it ObamaCare is a right wing slanderous term created to make the proposal look bad to those who would react poorly to a liberal stance (feel like a sheep yet?). ITS A BUZZ WORD COINED BY YOUR "CAMP". Dont throw it around as though it holds any more weight than when people called bush a nazi/ fascist or used countless nicknames.

The government pisses away our money…Great call with Chrysler, the old company has to repay the loan, however the "new" company has billions of dollars and a fresh start. Its great that we gave AIG billions, I'm sure those executives enjoyed there multi million dollar bonuses. We're moving down the list my friend, now were are told we have to have health insurance, "Land of the free" sure!!!!

  • Dainna says:

had McCain won, he would have approved the bail out too! He supported it when he was still a candidate, and you republicans seem to forget that. The "Party of No" is driving this country backward, not Obama.
