As everyone knows the world’s largest automobile manufacturer now has many problems to fix. This does not make them a heartless corporation. They build a huge number of cars so a problem in a small percentage is still a large number. They are bending over backwards to fix the issues.

Now the US government is working closely with them to solve these issues, sort of. The transportation commissioner announced that anyone driving a Toyota should bring it to the dealer and not drive it till the car is fixed. Half an hour later the same person said oh no I meant when you get a recall notice, not right away. The damage was already done. Oops.

I guess my point would be that the government who is regulating the recall is the same government that owns the competition. A drop in sales at Toyota would mean an increase in sales at GM.

This my friends is the reason we cannot have the government involved in business.
