Ok big picture.

China is a growing economic and political country. If not a super power it will be very soon. China has been spending big bucks in Africa to influence political decisions to go favorably their way. A policy that is worrying many in Washington even though we have done the same for years.

China is also invested heavily in the US. This is to influence political decisions to go their way. No you say? No the government assures.
Think about it. In the past we have stood firm on our commitment to Taiwan and agents the pressure put on Tibet.

Now the Dali Lama is not even welcome in the White House, and the President is playing nice during his visit to China.
We owe them we can’t afford to piss them off.

We can’t complain about the conditions people work in in china, we cannot complain about the pay or their health. We are smart shoppers so we buy Chinese products every chance we get, they are cheaper, and the Chinese government pumps that money back into our economy. By propping us up they get a say in what we vote on and what we get to do.

Don’t believe me?

The president, or more likely the people working for the president had to tell Chinese delegates recently what we were going to do about health care. Why not? We certainly don’t want to pay for it so the Chinese will have to.

Hell, China send me a check every year, let’s say a hundred thousand, and I promise to buy only Chinese made products, buy my home from Chinese owned banks and eat Chinese food every night.
